Stock is as the vehicle ships. Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart. The top speed is kinematic: an ideal no-load RPM with no slip and no loss under load, so a real car is slower.
How these numbers were settled
TWO-SPEED: the figures stored are the LOW range.
- High range is 9.87 internal and 35.24 total.
- Two Axial sources conflict and the manual wins on arithmetic.
- The manual's chart is self-consistent across all seven pinion columns, giving 17.923 low and 9.867 high to within 0.01%, and marks 14T as the standard pinion.
- The web spec sheet's 85.02/25.1 with 23.73/7.20 fails its own arithmetic: spur over pinion must be one number, but 85.02/23.73 = 3.583 while 25.10/7.20 = 3.486.
- The sibling Trail Honcho carries the same 23.73/7.20 against a third total, 45.6, incompatible with both.
- The 177.8mm is Axial's marketing '7in tall' claim, not a dimensioned spec.
