How these numbers were settled
This is the electric RWB/FWB-chassis sibling of the RC8B4.1 Team Kit (nitro, #80949) and a distinct, later-released chassis from the RC8B4.2e Team Kit (#80955), not a duplicate of it.
- Part number, scale, drivetrain, the 3.38:1 transmission ratio and the stock 46T molded spur come from Team Associated's official press release for #80950 and match the archived product page at 60years.associatedelectrics.com word for word.
- The 3.38:1 ratio checks against the same source's 44T ring / 13T pinion diff gearset (44/13 = 3.3846, within 3% of the published 3.38), so the figures are treated as verified even though only one publisher is involved.
- One conflicting data point: a third-party parts cross-reference (rotorron.com) lists a 47T machined spur (part 81596) as fitting 'RC8B4, RC8B4.1, RC8B4.1e'.
- That is read as an optional metal spur upgrade, since the press release and archived product page both state a '46T molded spur gear' ships in the box; the 47T figure is not used.
- No pinion ships (the kit has no motor and the manual lists no fixed pinion), so the pinion and final drive do not apply.
- Tires, wheels and motor are not included, so the tire diameter and KV do not apply.
- The cell count of 4 is listed because it is a fixed limit of the battery tray and ESC position (2x2S shorty packs in series or a single 4S shorty pack), not a choice left to the owner.
