How these numbers were settled
From Vanquish's VS4-10 Portal Axle Builders Kit page: Pinion 15T (steel), Spur Gear 52T, 'Axle Gear Ratio: 5.25:1', 'Overall Rear Ratio: 57.2:1', 'Overall Front Ratio: 53.7:1 (standard) / 35.8:1 (46% OD)'.
- The Overall Rear Ratio (57.2, no overdrive) is used as the final drive since it is the unmodified baseline.
- Vanquish's 5.25:1 Axle Gear Ratio does not reconcile with the pinion, spur and final drive (52/15 x 5.25 = 18.2, not 57.2), most likely because the VS4-10's twin-transmission (VFD) design has an additional internal reduction stage beyond what the 5.25 figure represents.
- The ratio after the spur is therefore back-derived from the published total, 57.2 / (52/15) = 16.5, so the figures reconcile, rather than taken from Vanquish's component-level 5.25.
- A standalone portal reduction could not be isolated from the published figures, so none is listed.
- This is a bare kit (frame and axles, no motor, ESC or electronics); Vanquish leaves electronics to the builder and publishes no cell-count ceiling, so KV and the cell count do not apply.
- Tire diameter is not specified beyond '1.9in tires recommended', so it is left blank.
