How these numbers were settled
Portal-axle kit.
- Vanquish publishes '5.25:1 Overall Axle Ratio, 1.4:1 Portal Box Ratio, Internal Trans Ratio: Front 2.95 / Rear 3.15, Overall Gear Ratio: Front 57.8 / Rear 61.7, Overdrive Percentage: 6.5%, 15T 32P Pinion, Included 56T 32P Spur'.
- Front and rear differ, so the rear total is used and the front is 57.8:1.
- Every published number reconciles: the ring and pinion is 5.25 / 1.4 = 3.75, and 3.75 hypoid x 1.4 portal = 5.25 axle; 5.25 x 3.15 = 16.54 rear after the spur; (56/15) x 16.54 = 61.7; on the front 5.25 x 2.95 = 15.49, (56/15) x 15.49 = 57.8.
- The transmission and axle ratio is stored as the rear 16.53, giving (56/15) x 16.53 = 61.71 against the published 61.7.
- Kit with no electronics, so KV and cell count are left blank.
- Wheels and VXT 4.65" tires are included, and Vanquish states the 4.65 in outside diameter, 118mm.
