How these numbers were settled
The 56T spur is the large section of the two-stage idler gear (#105813, 32T-56T), which the pinion drives; there is no conventional spur.
- The 4.712 transmission and axle ratio is the remaining 32T-to-49T drive gear stage times the 40T/13T diff bevels.
- The cell count is 2 because HPI's manual states the delivered gearing is optimised for 2S and that 3S use requires the #105809 32T-60T idler and a 24T pinion.
- HPI's '65 mph' claim is for the optional 34-tooth pinion, not this gearing.
