How these numbers were settled
The original brushed-motor version of the Sprint 2 touring chassis, alongside the brushless Sprint 2 Flux (106165) and the nitro drift Sprint 2 Drift Sport (104821).
- It is a distinct nameplate, confirmed by HPI's own kit and instruction pages (hpiracing.com/en/kit/718 and /en/instructions/106149, which list a 'Sprint 2 Sport Instruction Manual' separate from the Drift and Flux manuals) and by a retail listing bundling it with a 'FIREBOLT 15 TURN 540 MOTOR' and 'SC-15' brushed ESC, so it is brushed, not nitro or brushless.
- HPI's own manual pages could not be read, so the pinion, spur and transmission and axle ratio (28T pinion, 87T spur, 2.4375) come from a single RC Universe forum post by an owner reporting a stock '87/28' gearset and 'a internal ratio of 2.4375'.
- This is not independently corroborated and is graded community-sourced.
- The 7.58 final drive is calculated from those two reported figures (87/28 x 2.4375 = 7.575), not stated by the source.
- Tire diameter and cell count could not be found for this kit, so both are left blank (not found, not nonexistent).
- The stock motor is a brushed can rated in turns, so KV does not apply.
- The Sprint 2 Flux gearing has not been confirmed, so the variant claim rests on the brushed vs brushless powertrain, not on a verified ratio difference.
